About

Judith Godden, PhD (Macq), BA(Hons) (UNE), MPHlth (a.e.g. Syd), Dip.Ed. (UNE), MPHA, FACN (hon).

I am a professional historian available for freelance work. My research interests are broad, but my expertise is largely in the history of healthcare  and hospitals, welfare history, and biography. My latest book is Crown Street Women's Hospital: a History 1893-1983 (Allen & Unwin, December 2016).  I have recently completed a history of Aftercare, Australia's longest serving mental health organisation: a sample is available on request. I am currently undertaking an innovative e-family history.
