Dr Margo Beasley is oral historian in the City of Sydney’s History Program, a position she has held for seven years. Prior to that she was a consultant public historian who conducted oral history projects and wrote commissioned histories, of which the best-known is Wharfies: the History of the Waterside Workers’ Federation. her PhD thesis was on domestic life along the  Sydney waterfront in the early twentieth century: http://ro.uow.edu.au/theses/276. Her professional interests within the City of Sydney's history program include the history of religious and secular belief, urban ecology, and housing history.
