I’m a professional researcher and writer who has published on a wide range of subjects, including architecture, institutional history, engineering and resources. My first commission was in 1987 from the educational publisher, Pergamon Press. Since that time I’ve been engaged by other educational publishers as well as private and public organisations. I am closely involved with major banking institutions and government in simplifying (plain language) complex documentation. Since 1991, I have worked for numerous university academics to edit and advise on grant submissions (ARC), promotion, journal articles, et al

Ron Ringer is an experienced, skilled writer and communicator and is recognised by major educational publishers as a leader in his field.


Ron Ringer is expert in handling commissioned histories from creation to the published work. This includes the commissioning of a book designer, illustrator, editor and printer.

I have never consciously sought recognition or entered my work for an award, however, I have been continuously employed as a researcher and writer – and count myself both fortunate and successful. To date, I have published 15 books.
