Biography
PHA (NSW & ACT) committee member and website manager, 2020-2021. I have a PhD in History from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. I specialise in the literary and cultural history of New Zealand, Australia and the wider British colonial world in the early twentieth century and have published widely in this area. I have taught history at several universities across Australia and New Zealand (from global history to Australian and local history). Until 2019 I was working on the ARCHIVER project at Western Sydney University which resulted in 'Linked Archives': a digital archive tool designed to harness the explanatory power of large archive collections. Recent research contracts have combined my interest in cultural infrastructures and digital technologies, and I am currently working in a research role for the Australia Council for the Arts specialising in digital engagement.
