
Alison Wishart has postgraduate degrees in history (University of Queensland), museum studies and cultural heritage (Deakin University) and libraries and information management (University of South Australia). She has worked as a social history curator and researcher for the past 20 years.
Alison is an experienced oral historian, having interviewed ‘Old Salts’ living in north Queensland, Australian Defence Forces Personnel serving in Afghanistan and Bahrain and migrants to Australia. She enjoys working with people and listening to and understanding their stories.
Alison has completed research projects for businesses in the private and not-for-profit sector. She is experienced with using genealogical sources, government records and archives and material culture.
