Bridget Griffen-Foley is a historian with expertise in media history and 20th century Australian history. She founded the Centre for Media History at Macquarie University in 2007, and has been a Professor there since 2011. Her books include The House of Packer (1999), Sir Frank Packer (2000, 2013), Party Games: Australian Politicians and the Media from War to Dismissal (2003), Changing Stations: The Story of Australian Commercial Radio (2009) and Australian Radio Listeners and Television Viewers: Historical Perspectives (2020). A Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, Bridget served as historical consultant to Power Games: The Packer-Murdoch Story (2013) and on the Library Council of NSW (2003-12). She is a national selector for the Media Hall of Fame, a member of the Australian Dictionary of Biography's Editorial Board and its New South Wales Working Party, and a selector for the NFSA’s Sounds of Australia.
