A Doctoral Candidate at Wollongong University researching artists' depictions of heritage sites in the Hawkesbury, Carol Roberts has a Master of History (UNE Armidale, NSW), a Bachelor of Arts Majoring in Australian History and Advanced Diplomas in Music and History. She runs Advancing History, offering research, local and social history and cultural heritage services and also operates Hawkesbury Valley Heritage Tours, based in Windsor NSW. As a cultural heritage tour designer and guide in the Hawkesbury area, Carol presents interpretive activities and researches, records and presents public history programs. As a former government employee she is adept at heritage interpretation with advanced historical research, report, technical and academic writing skills, producing clear, informative histories for a variety of purposes. Carol also has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and working on complex projects, drawing out details and findings from those projects.
